About Me
Genevieve Howell, is a professionally trained actress and writer. She has acted in theater and film in New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle and Portland. Growing up in the Pacific Northwest, she was a competitive equestrian (hunter/jumper) and grew up acting in local theater and film productions, seeking her first agent at the age of 14. One of her first entryways into film was on the set of Gus Van Sants “Elephant.” She moved to Los Angeles after high school to hone her craft at Playhouse West Repertory Theater, founded by Sanford Meisner and Robert Carnegie, and trained with Robert Carnegie, Holly Gagnier and Mark Pellegrino. She later graduated from a rigorous two year program at The Meisner Technique Studio in San Francisco with Meisner protege Jim Jarrett. She additionally studied improv and sketch comedy at UCB Theater. She has lived in New York, Portland and San Francisco and now resides in Los Angeles.
