ABOUT THE PROJECT:

This is a high-level proof of concept for Open, a grounded, character-driven drama currently in development. The project is being submitted to production companies, investors, and respected talent agencies, including the representation teams for A-list talent. It is not just a passion project. It is a professional, cinematic tool to bring the feature film into full production.

The film is already aligned with reputable industry partners, and this proof will serve as both a creative calling card and a strategic asset to attract financing and cast attachments.

ROLE – ALLY

Latina (preferably), any race, early 20s. Ally is quiet, emotionally restrained, and has endured a life marked by depression and trauma. Beneath her stillness lies a deep emotional core. She is subtle, observant, and internal but has pivotal moments of raw explosiveness. One key scene centers on her difficult decision to put her child up for adoption.

We’re looking for an actress who excels in restrained, emotionally honest work. Someone who can portray depth through silence and small shifts, with the ability to build to an emotionally charged climax.

NOTES:

• $300 flat rate. Travel and lodging are not covered.

• Shoot will take place in Covina, CA.

• Zoom rehearsal scheduled for April 26th, followed by an in-person blocking session May 16th.

• Seeking committed, collaborative talent who can bring nuance to the role.

• The director is an emerging filmmaker with deep industry ties. While resources are limited, visibility is not.
