Description:
We're looking for the following cast members for our Historical Murder Mystery web series, which features both English and Mandarin speaking roles, and will be shooting in and around London in May, 2025:
Actresses:
1. Ms. Peng (3-4 days filming)
20-40 years old, female, East Asian, must speak native level Mandarin and at least basic English.
2. Ms. Marshal (1 day of filming)
20-40 years old, female, caucasian, must speak fluent English.
Actors:
1. Mr. Brooke (3-4 days filming)
30-50 years old, male, caucasian, must speak native level English.
2. Detective Peel (3-4 days filming)
30-50 years old, male, caucasian, must speak native level English and fluent Mandarin.
3. George (1/2 day of filming)
25-60 years old, male, caucasian or East Asian, must speak native level English or native level Mandarin.
4. Ambrose (1/2 day of filming)
25-60 years old, male, caucasian or East Asian, must speak native level English or native level Mandarin.
5. Waiter (1/2 day of filming)
20-50 years old, male, caucasian or East Asian, must speak native level English or native level Mandarin.
Compensation:
Since I will have to fund this pilot web series entirely by myself, I'm not able to offer actors a flat fee. However, I will provide reasonable travel costs, accommodation if needed, good quality home cooked food, snacks, drinks, and IMDb credits. Furthermore, if this series garners attention in China or the West then I'll also be able to offer you paid work in our second series.
Filming Dates:
We are currently planning to film on Monday 5th May (bank holiday), Friday 9th May, and Tuesday 13th May this year. But those dates are somewhat flexible, so feel free to let us know what other dates in May you have available.
